Buffalo, New York – November 19th, 2021 – D’Youville is extremely proud to share the AIA Buffalo/WNY chapter has recognized our Health Professions Hub with a prestigious 2021 design award.

During a ceremony this month, the D’Youville Health Professions Hub, a project we worked on alongside our partners Cannon Design, received the Buffalo Design Award, a top honor of the night. This award, given to the Hub for its beautiful and impactful design, recognizes the significance the Hub has had in elevating and expanding health education at D’Youville while also nourishing Buffalo’s traditionally underserved West Side community.

The Hub was developed to make an immediate impact on improving community access to healthcare services, introducing educational opportunities focused on breaking the cycle of chronic illness, preparing a new workforce to seize in-demand healthcare jobs, and supporting the Buffalo’s West Side residents. The building features spaces for innovative learning, a workforce center, public art, virtual training resources, and a clinic offering primary care.
